Ingredients
- Capsicum/Bell pepper, medium · 2 nos
- Green chillies, chopped · 2
- Curry leaves · 4-5
- Garlic · 6 cloves
- Sesame Seeds / Yellu · 1 tbspn
- Cumin seeds / Jeera · 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds / Kaduku · 1 tsp
- Tamarind paste / Puli · 1 tbspn
- Coriander leaves chopped · 2 tbspn
- Turmeric / Haldi · 1/2 tsp
- Sugar (optional - for diabetes avoid) · 1 tsp
- Oil · 1 tbspn
Method
- 1In a frying pan roast sesame seeds till golden. Remove that and let it cool. After it gets cooled grind it into a fine powder.
- 2In a pan, heat oil. Put mustard and cumin seeds and throw curry leaves, green chilli and garlic. Mix the tamarind pulp. Add in salt and turmeric powder. Add chopped capsicum pieces and mix well. Cover it and let it cook till tender. Add sugar and mix well. Add in the sesame seed powder and mix well. Let it cool down. Then grind it into a smooth paste by adding some water.
- 3Serve with idlis or dosa.
