Carrot Halwa
Good for CKD, dialysis and Post transplant. Paneer is a good protein ingredient in this dish. This sweet dish is good for CKD and Dialysis patients. If the sugar can be replaced with an artificial sweetener even diabetic patients can consume.

Ingredients
- Carrot red86 g · 1/2 cup
- Ghee15 g · 1 tb spoon
- Rice bran oil10 g · 2 tsp
- Paneer50 g · 1/4 cup
- Milk whole Cow30 g · 2 tb spoon
- Sugar45 g · 1/4 cup
- Almond12 g · 10 no.
- Cardamom powder2 g · 1 tsp
Method
- 1Boil the grated carrots in 6 cups water for 5 minutes and drain the water.
- 2In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and saute drained grated carrots and cook continuously for 5 minutes on low flame.
- 3Add 2 Tbsp of toned milk, stir well and pressure cook till 1 whistle.
- 4In another pan, heat oil and add crumbled paneer and add 1Tbsp sugar.
- 5Stir continuously and cook till it becomes granulated. Add the granulated paneer to the cooked carrot and stir well and cook for 7-10 minutes.
- 6After cooking add remaining sugar and lightly powdered badam and finely powdered Elaichi to the above. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve hot.
