Chicken Flower Dumpling

Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice150 g · 3/4 cup
  • Chicken Mince300 g
  • Green Chilies10 g · 2-3 nos
  • Ginger5 g · 1 inch piece
  • Salt · to taste
  • Peppercorns (crushed)5 g · 1 tsp (5 gms)

Method

  1. 1Pick wash and soak rice in water for twenty minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  2. 2Remove stems wash green chilies and chop them fine
  3. 3Peel and wash ginger. Grind ginger into a fine paste.
  4. 4Mix chicken mince with chopped green chilies ginger paste salt and crushed peppercorns. Divide this mixture into six equal portions.
  5. 5Form round balls from each portion of chicken and then roll them in presoaked rice.
  6. 6Place rice rolled chicken balls on a perforated rack, which can be fitted into a steamer pot.
  7. 7Boil water in the steamer pot and place the perforated rack in it. Cover the pot.
  8. 8Steam for about fifteen to twenty minutes or until cooked.
  9. 9Remove gently and serve hot with a dip of your choice.
