Ingredients
- Rohu fish200 g · 4 medium pieces
- Nigella seeds (kalonji / kalo jeera)2.5 g · 1/2 tsp
- Mustard oil45 g · 3 tbsp
- Cumin powder5 g · 1 tsp
- Coriander powder2.5 g · 1/2 tsp
- Ginger paste5 g · 1 tsp
- Green chilli2.5 g · 2-3
- Turmeric5 g · 1 tsp
Method
- 1Marinate fish with salt and turmeric powder. Keep aside for 5-6 minutes.
- 2Heat oil in a wok and fry the fish pieces till done. Remove and keep aside.
- 3In the same oil temper with nigella seeds, then add all the other ingredients. Mix well and fry till done.
- 4Add 1 1/2 medium cup of water and boil for about 5 minutes.
- 5Add the fried fish and cover. Cook over low flame for 5-7 minutes till fish is soft.
- 6Remove from flame and serve hot with rice.
