Ingredients
- Jowar (white millet)180 g · 1 cup
- Red gram dal180 g · 1 cup
- Bengal gram whole180 g · 1 cup
- Black gram dal5 g · 1 tsp
- Onion big200 g · 2
- Chillies red3 g · 6
- Coriander leaves10 g · Small bunch
- Curry leaves2 g · 7-8
- Rice bran oil20 g · 4 tsp
Method
- 1Soak white millet in water for 7 hours and grind.
- 2Soak red gram, bengal gram, skinned whole black gram and green gram for 2 hours and grind.
- 3Mix both the batters together and add salt as allowed.
- 4Add finely chopped onion to the batter, along with asafoetida, chopped coriander, and curry leaves Mix well.
- 5Heat a flat pan (dosa tawa).
- 6When hot, pour a ladle of batter on the pan and spread it like a thick pancake (adai).
- 7Sprinkle oil, cook the pancake (adai) on both sides till golden brown and remove.
