Ingredients
- Bottle gourd (pale green, elongated)300 g · 1 1/2 cups
- Peas fresh100 g · 1/4 cup
- Turmeric powder2 g · 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder2 g · 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder2 g · 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds2 g · 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds2 g · 1/2 tsp
- Groundnut oil5 g · 1 tsp
Method
- 1In a pan add oil, rai (mustard) and jeera (cumin). After rai splutters add mix of haldi, chilli powder, coriander powder and asafoetida.
- 2Quickly add chopped vegetables, salt to taste and let cook with 1 tbsp water.
- 3Cover the pan. When almost cooked add the frozen peas. Cook covered for another 5 minutes.
- 4Add chopped green coriander/dhania.
- 5Serve hot with rotis or rice.
