Ingredients

  • Rice100 g · 1/2 cup
  • Green gram dal50 g · 1/4 cup
  • Green Chillies10 g · 2
  • Ginger paste10 g · 2
  • Curd30 g · Less than 1/4 cup
  • Asafoetida5 g · 1 tsp
  • Carrot orange (grated)50 g · 1 medium
  • Peas fresh30 g · Less than 1/4 cup

Method

  1. 1Soak rice and dal separately overnight.
  2. 2Grind them coarse and mix it.
  3. 3Add yoghurt and allow the mixture to ferment for 6-7 hours.
  4. 4When it is fermented, add all ingredients except oil.
  5. 5Mix thoroughly.
  6. 6Add this batter on oiled plates and steam for 15 min.
  7. 7Remove from steamer and cool.
  8. 8Cut into pieces and serve with chutney.

  • Non-dialysis (CKD) portion size to be maintained.
  • Chutney can be pudina, onion or tomato onion chutney depending on the patient's potassium status.
