Ingredients

  • Egg200 g · 4
  • Onion100 g · 2 medium
  • Oil15 g · 2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste10 g · 2 tsp
  • Bay leaf · 2 nos
  • Green Chilly · 2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder2.5 g · 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder · 1 pinch

Method

  1. 1Beat the eggs with salt to taste.
  2. 2Make 2 large omelets on a nonstick pan. Cut the omelets into medium pieces and keep aside.
  3. 3Heat oil in a pan and add all the ingredients (except garam masala) and fry till golden brown.
  4. 4Add a medium cup of water and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. 5Add the cut omelet pieces and add a bit of water if required. Cover and cook for a few minutes till the gravy thickens. Add the garam masala powder and remove from fire.
  6. 6Serve hot with rice or chapati

  • Patients are most often recommended to take egg whites as egg yolks could raise their cholesterol levels. PLEASE follow your doctor's advice. You can make the omelette with only egg whites too.
