Ingredients

  • Rice flakes (thick)50 g · 1/4 cup
  • Onion25 g · 1/4 of big onion
  • Green chillies5 g · 1
  • Cumin seeds3 g · 1/2 tsp
  • Groundnut oil5 g · 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)5 g · 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves5 g · 4 or 5 leaves
  • Mustard seeds3 g · 1/2 tsp

Method

  1. 1Wash poha well and soak in water for a few minutes. Drain the water.
  2. 2Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and allow it to splutter. Add cumin seeds; after a stir add green chillies, curry leaves and onions and saute till onions are translucent.
  3. 3Add poha and salt and leave on medium flame for 5 minutes.
  4. 4Garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. 5(For additional flavor add a few drops of lime juice while still hot. To maintain low potassium, recipe has not added lime juice; keep potassium in limits.)
