Rava Ladoo

Good for CKD, dialysis (non-diabetic). If sugar can be replaced by artificial sweetener, even diabetic patients can consume this dish.

Ingredients

  • Ghee45 g · 1/4 cup
  • Wheat semolina150 g · 1 cup
  • Refined sugar granulated180 g · 1 cup
  • Milk whole Cow30 g · 2 tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder1 g · 1/4 tsp

Method

  1. 1Roast the rava on a low flame till it changes colour to light brown and turns aromatic.
  2. 2Cool rava to room temperature.
  3. 3Prepare sugar syrup with 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Warm the milk.
  4. 4The syrup must be one string consistency.
  5. 5Turn off the stove; add roasted rava to sugar syrup.
  6. 6Add the cardamom powder. Add milk.
  7. 7Stir continuously to avoid formation of lumps.
  8. 8Mix well.
  9. 9When its still warm enough, prepare laddus with your palm.
  10. 10Serve rava ladoo / suji laddu once cooled completely or store in airtight container for 2 weeks.
