Ingredients
- Rice basmati180 g · 180 g
- Sesame oil15 g · 15 g
- Black gram dal30 g · 30 g
- Sesame seeds45 g · 45 g
- Groundnut5 g · 5 g
- Mustard seeds2.5 g · 2.5 g
- Red chillies2 g · 2
Method
- 1Dry roast sesame seeds, 1.5 tbsp of urad dal and red chillies. Grind this coarsely.
- 2Wash and cook rice. Let it cool.
- 3Heat sesame oil, add a pinch of hing, mustard (1/2 tsp), urad dal (1/2 tbsp), peanuts (1 tsp) and curry leaves. Saute till dal and peanuts become golden brown.
- 4Add the above and the coarsely ground powder to the rice and mix well.
- 5Serve this dish after 30 minutes for better flavour.
