Wheat Pancakes

Good for CKD non-diabetic. Dialysis may eat sometimes. For dialysis persons – the low protein values makes it unattractive, but gives them a choice

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour · 1 cup
  • Rice flour · 2 tbsp
  • Jaggery · 1/2 cup +1 tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder · 1/4 tsp
  • Oil for making pancakes
  • Non-stick pan

Method

  1. 1In a pan add jaggery with 1/4 cup water and bring it to a boil.
  2. 2Filter the impurities and put the jaggery back in the pan. In a bowl mix wheat flour, rice flour and cardamom powder.
  3. 3Add the jaggery syrup at near room temperature to the flour mixture.
  4. 4Mix well; add water to get the right consistency. Add ghee to this and mix well.
  5. 5The batter consistency should be thick enough with a consistency like a dosa batter.
  6. 6Make 2'' diameter pancakes.
