Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, 2'' cubed · 135g
  • White onion, chopped · 1 large (110g)
  • Tomato paste · 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil · 1 tbsp
  • Garlic, minced · 1 tbsp
  • Dried red chilli, deseeded · 6 chillies (4g)
  • Salt · 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick · 1 stick

Method

  1. 1Blend onion, garlic and dried chillies together to make a paste.
  2. 2Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add in the paste, tomato paste and cinnamon stick and cook until fragrant.
  3. 3Add in 1/4 cup of water along with chicken breast and bring it to a boil.
  4. 4Continue cooking over low heat for 10 minutes, or until the gravy thickens and the chicken is cooked.

  • Soak the dried chilli in hot water for an easier removal of seeds.
