Chinese Dumpling

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, minced · 135g
  • Dumpling skin · 12 skins
  • Carrot, minced · 1 medium (60g)
  • Sesame oil · 2 tbsp
  • Low sodium soy sauce · 1 tbsp
  • Ginger, minced · 1 tbsp (12g)
  • Spring onion, chopped · 1 tbsp (8g)
  • White pepper · 1 tsp

Method

  1. 1Filling: Mix minced meat, carrot, ginger and spring onion in a medium bowl. Marinate it with soy sauce, white pepper and sesame oil for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. 2Scoop a tablespoon of the filling into the centre of the dumpling skin. Fold the skin into half to make a semi-circle and pinch the edges to seal.
  3. 3Boil the dumplings in a large pot until the dumplings float.
